David J. Jupina, M.D.
Dr. Jupina joined the Tri-Valley Orthopedic
group in 1998. In addition to his busy orthopedic and sports medicine
practice, he is currently team physician for our local Foothill High School
athletes, and Orthopedic Surgery Consultant to the Federal Correctional
Institution in Dublin, CA. He performs surgery at both ValleyCare hospitals (in
Pleasanton and Livermore) as well as at San Ramon Regional Medical Center.

Additional background
Dr. Jupina is a Bay Area native, born and
raised in the Hayward area and a graduate of Moreau High School. After
completing his undergraduate studies and medical school training in Southern
California, he returned to the Bay Area and completed his orthopedic
training at the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program based at St.
Mary's Medical Center.
As both a Board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon
and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Jupina has
a special interest in Sports Medicine. He has developed special expertise
in ACL injuries in athletes, always with emphasis on the most current
treatment options available. Most recently he has specialized in the
anterior approach for hip replacement surgery.
Dr. Jupina enjoys being the team physician for
Foothill High School's football team in Pleasanton. He and his
wife are the busy parents of five young children, residing in the Pleasanton
Community. He is an active physician and father, and when time permits, he
enjoys playing golf. |
