Kambiz Behzadi, M.D. Dr. Behzadi treats people of all ages, with special emphasis on high school, college and recreational athletes as well as the injured worker. His first goal is to provide appropriate and individual care for each patient who comes through the door, tailoring a care plan that is suited to each patient's individual needs. Individual Attention & Continuum of Care Dr. Behzadi works closely with other physicians and therapists to provide a continuum of care for his patients. The needs of patients are addressed at every juncture, from pre-op education to post-surgical rehabilitation. Patients preparing for joint reconstruction surgery take part in an educational program that has led to a dramatic reduction in length of hospital stay. Education
Additional Information Dr. Behzadi has been certified in Minimally Invasive Solutions (MIS™), technology, including procedures and instrumentation to reduce tissue trauma and shorten patient rehabilitation time. He is currently working with the Medtronic Navigation system for Computer-Assisted Surgery (CAS). He currently serves as Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Valley Care Health System. Dr. Behzadi’s special focus is on sports medicine, and knee and shoulder arthroscopy. He has served as team physician for the University of New Mexico soccer team, the Terre Haute North High School football and basketball teams, and The Rose Hulman Institute of Technology football and basketball teams. During his fellowship training near Salt Lake City, he served as an assistant team physician for the U.S. Olympic Ski Team. He currently serves as team physician to our local Amador Valley High School athletes. Not surprisingly, Dr. Behzadi’s outside interests include soccer, snowboarding and skiing. He lives in Pleasanton with his wife and their two active teenaged sons. |
