Our Hand and Upper Extremity Center of Excellence practice leaders Alexandra M. Burgar, M.D., and Gregory Horner, M.D, manage a broad range of hand problems.  As orthopedic surgeons with special training in hand and upper extremity surgery, they treat conditions affecting the bones, muscles, nerves and tendons of the hand, wrist and arm up to the shoulder.  Both perform arthroscopy and microvascular surgery for problems including broken bones, birth defects in infants, carpal tunnel problems in adults, and sports-related injuries for all ages.

Drs. Horner and Burgar are certified as Qualified Medical Examiners for Workers’ Compensation cases.  Dr. Horner is Board-certified and Dr. Burgar is Board-eligible, as determined by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.  Both have completed prestigious fellowships in hand and upper extremity surgery.
