Established in 1985 by Robert Malstrom, M.D., the orthopedic and sports medicine practice has "grown-up" with the Pleasanton, Livermore and San Ramon communities.  The group now consists of eight (8) surgeons, all of whom are Board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery. 

The eight physician members of the group are:  George Batten M.D., Kambiz Behzadi M.D., Alexandra Burgar M.D., Roger Dainer D.O., Gregory Horner M.D., David Jupina M.D., Robert Malstrom M.D., and Kenneth Venos M.D. 

Most patients who seek evaluation and treatment with a Tri-Valley Orthopedic Specialist are experiencing musculoskeletal problems related to knees, shoulders, feet and ankles, hand and wrist, elbow, or hip.  The doctors also treat a wide variety of less common problems, and treat people of all ages and activity levels.  The group accepts most non-HMO and Workers’ Compensation insurance plans. 

TVO provides orthopedic surgery backup to the emergency departments at San Ramon Regional Medical Center, Pleasanton Surgery Center  and the ValleyCare Medical Center in Pleasanton 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.
